"Caspar McCloud is the next Jimi Hendrix." -- Ahmet Ertegun, President, Atlantic Records
“I have never met anyone quite like Caspar McCloud. I hope his story blesses you as much as
he has blessed me.” -Peter Furler -Newsboys
“I had the chance to hear Caspar McCloud in concert, what an amazing guitarist” - Mark Lee -Third Day
Canton, GA - Caspar McCloud and The Ministry of THREE's third CD "The Living Word" is scheduled for official release on August 19th. Critics and musicians have taken notice of the band's unique blend of Beatles/R&B vocal style with Satriani G3/ Zeppelin power riffs mixed with a non-overbearing, positive spiritual theme, and THREE's "The Living Word" continues the tradition.
THREE was formed in 1999 by former Atlantic Records recording artist Caspar McCloud. McCloud was led to Christ by his close friend and mentor musician Phil Keaggy. The first THREE CD, “In Our Lifetime”, features Phil as a guest artist on two tracks, "Still I Wonder" and the title track, "In Our Lifetime". McCloud has opened for and performed with numerous well known artists including Phil Keaggy and The Newsboys. Newsboy Jody Davis sings a duet with Caspar on the title track of the second THREE Cd "Soul Saved". THREE has performed at numerous churches and events in the southeastern states. McCloud has performed internationally and once had a staring role portraying John Lennon in the hit Broadway musical “Beatlemania”. McCloud has also been featured on the 700 club and similar television programs. The first time THREE performed for a crowd of about one thousand, forty-six people accepted their clear presentation of the Gospel and gave themselves to Christ Jesus and there have been many more since.
THREE has an original sound, that like most good music, reflects many influences. Numerous people have said the group’s founder Caspar McCloud is one of the best guitarists in years. The CEO of Atlantic Records called McCloud the next Jimi Hendrix when he signed him to a recording contract a number of years ago. McCloud left the secular world of music to devote his life to Christ Jesus. All the band members feel the final and only reason to make music is to glorify God. Their musical style is Christian Rock including hard rock, soft celtic, and assorted extrapolations with their primary musical influences being Led Zeppelin, Joe Satriani, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Phil Keaggy, The Newsboys, Eric Johnson, Christopher Parkening, J. S. Bach, and many other artists past and present.
THREE's band lineup includes Caspar McCloud (Guitar - Vocals), Carlos Merced (Drums), and Mike Waldner (Bass Guitar - Vocals). Previously released albums are "In Our Lifetime" and "Soul Saved".
"Caspar McCloud is a post pre-Raphaelite artist, a very accomplished guitarist, singer/songwriter, equestrian, and actor; he even once had a starring role in a hit Broadway musical. Why, he is a modern day renaissance man!"--- The 700 Club
Not only is McCloud an accomplished guitarist and songwriter, but in May, 2006, Praxis Press published his compelling book "Nothing is Impossible" which reveals McCloud's life as a rockstar turned sour. McCloud had it all including a deep, gnawing emptiness no materialism could heal. Then one night his heart stopped, literally. Today he knows "Nothing is Impossible" through the empowering knowledge of truth. The book is available at http://www.casparmccloud.com and through amazon.com.
